Setting up SmartFTP is easy and easy. SmartFTP developers also did a great job with them

SmartFTP setup is very easy:

  • Download SmartFTP.
  • Double-click the downloaded file.
  • Follow the installation instructions. The default options are preset so you move in the correct direction.

Monitoring File Transfer with SmartFTP

On all FTP clients, SmartFTP has the most powerful and unique toolkit to track your file transfers. SmartFTP offers several components to keep you informed of your file transfers:
  • Message Log
  • Transfer Queue
  • Speed Panel
  • Pop-up Statistics
  • Event pop-ups
All monitoring tools can be accessed from the View menu.

Message Log (Remote Browser)

One of the best things about SmartFTP is that it can connect to multiple FTP sites at once. Note that you can open and close the Remote Browser window. However, setting it to Automatic Cloaking can offer you the greatest flexibility.

The message log is used to display the command screen with a command from the detailed file transfers. If you have problems with transfers, this may be a place to look for. However, you may find that the window is too small to work and cannot be placed outside of the Remote Browser window. To resolve this issue, you want to export the log:

  • Open the main menu: File - Settings
  • The Settings dialog box opens
  • Go to the General dialog box - Advanced
  • Check Enable logging
  • Check Enable connection logging
  • SmartFTP for the settings to take effect,please Restart
By default, the log can be found in the% localappdata% \ SmartFTP \ Client 2.0 \ Log folder: The Connection subfolder contains a log for each of the basic links. The Transfer Queue subfolder contains the log for each transport. This is the same log that can be obtained from the Transfer Queue panel (see below).

Transfer the queue log in the Queue Transfer panel:

• Double-click the task in the task list in the Transfer Queue panel.
• Task details view opens
• Right-click an item and select Show log from the context menu.
• Copy and save the text in Notes or Documents.
• Name the file saved in SmartFTP the saved log file.
